The 60-minute classes will begin with finding a comfortable position that supports your physical well being, welcoming in and greeting one another. Then you will have the first opportunity to dip your toe into the waters of mindfulness practices exploring a short breath practice. There will be a 15-20 minute talk followed by a 15-20 minute meditation and an opportunity for questions before wrapping up. Cornell published a guide about meditation that contains evidence-based information as well as links to other teachers and resources. Many people come to a mindfulness meditation course with stress, anxiety, depression or noticing that their self talk is not always beneficial. In this four week course you will learn what mindfulness is and how it can improve the ability to navigate your daily life.
