Learn More about trisha & sierra community house
Trisha Baird, originally from Erie, PA, attended Penn State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following graduation, she relocated to Charlotte, NC where she gained experience in Pre-K Education and Social Work, specifically in skilled nursing facilities and retirement communities. In 2005 she moved to Truckee where she has worked in violence prevention, education and outreach for over 15 years. As the Community Education & Prevention Manager at Sierra Community House, ending cycles of violence and creating safe and healthy communities are forefront in her efforts. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with friends and her dog, Blackbird, hanging out with her nephews and nieces, snow sports, intramural sports, traveling, making jewelry and cooking.

Danielle Segal, originally from Portland, Maine, attended St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2016, she received her MSW and her MBA from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She has experience working with the unhoused population and youth population. In 2017, she moved to Truckee where she was the manager the residential program for Sierra Community House. Since 2020, Danielle has been the program manager for North Tahoe-Truckee Homeless Services. She has also organized Hike for Hope, an annual event to bring suicide awareness to the community. In her free time, Danielle enjoys yoga, hiking, skiing, going to concerts, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
